Help ASCE Advocate for our Nation’s Infrastructure

ASCE Texas Section’s Government Affairs Committee is planning to distribute the 2017 Report Card for Texas’ Infrastructure to all 181 Texas legislators during Infrastructure Week (May 14-21). The Committee is seeking your help to achieve this distribution goal. Legislators are not currently in session and the Committee needs support from local members to reach each legislator in their hometown. If you would like to participate in the report card outreach during Infrastructure Week, please email GovernmentAffairs@TexASCE.org.

To receive key updates on infrastructure and public policy issues at both the state and federal level, please join ASCE’s Key Contact program. ASCE Key Contacts influence the policy process at the state and federal levels by developing relationships with elected officials. By meeting and making contacts with your elected officials in several ways, you can achieve true conversations about issues important to the profession, and become a trusted advisor when bills are drafted or considered. Remember, the most important thing you can do to support Infrastructure is vote! Be sure to do your research and support candidates that are committed to improving our Infrastructure. If you aren’t yet registered to vote, please visit https://www.votetexas.gov/register-to-vote/index.html.
